2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gipson regressed in 2024 after a promising 2023 rookie season as an undrafted free agent out of Stephen F. Austin. He dropped from 21 catches for 229 yards to six catches for 39 yards on offense, and his all-purpose yardage total dipped from 1,127 to 799. The 5-9, 189-pound Gipson likely won't become more than a part-time slot receiver and gadget player on offense, but his contributions as a punt and kickoff returner give him a decent chance to stick on the Jets' 53-man roster. Manages full practice Friday
Gipson (shoulder) was a full participant at practice Friday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gipson was still limited by the shoulder injury he suffered in Week 12 at Dallas to start the Eagles' preparations for Week 14, but he now appears to be back to full strength. He is on track to reclaim his return duties come Monday's game against the Chargers.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Gipson played sparingly through Week 8 of his rookie season. In the second half of the season, his role increased significantly. Although Gipson had just one game with more than 33 yards, it’s difficult to put the blame on him. The Jets could not have had a worse situation at quarterback in 2023. As a result, the entire passing game was inept. After Mike Williams signed with the Jets in free agency, Gipson would need to win the No. 3 role to have potential weekly fantasy value. However, if he doesn’t win the third-receiver job, Gipson may not see significant targets.

Competing with Pritchett
Gipson and Jamaal Pritchett are competing for the punt returner role in training camp, with the undrafted rookie Pritchett having made a strong impression this offseason, per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
The Jets will likely roster whichever player wins the competition and cut the other one. Gipson muffed a punt on the first day of training camp Wednesday, while Pritchett made a nice diving catch playing receiver in 11-on-11 drills. Gipson regressed in his second NFL season after a strong rookie campaign in 2023. He dipped from 229 receiving yards to 39 while dropping from 1,127 all-purpose yards to 799.
