• ✅ Elite quarterback in Josh Allen. 
• ✅ D.J. Moore is an established number one receiver. 
• ✅ The defense is reloaded after signing Bradley Chubb and C.J. Gardner-Johnson while trading for cornerback Taron Johnson. 
• ✅ The Bills traded back three times in Round 1 of the NFL Draft, stockpiling mid-round picks. Despite moving out of the first round entirely, they came away with a strong haul of defensive talent, headlined by Clemson edge rusher T.J. Parker.

👎 Case Against: 

• ❌ Allen struggles in the playoffs, as evidenced by his multiple turnovers in the loss to the Broncos in last season's AFC Divisional Round. 
• ❌ Outside of Moore, the receiving corps is not very talent-rich. Only added Skyler Bell in the fourth round. 
• ❌ Defense struggles to show up in big games and will be anchored by aging vets and rookies. Need to find a quick improvement on their 5.1 yards allowed per carry in 2025.
• ❌ They draw a tougher on-paper schedule, with over 50% of their games being against playoff teams from last year.

Chiefs Odds to Win Super Bowl: +1600

• ✅ Patrick Mahomes remains one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league, and when healthy, his playoff pedigree alone makes Kansas City a Super Bowl threat.
• ✅Coach Andy Reid remains one of the best in the game and finds ways to get the best out of this group. 
• ✅ Kenneth Walker gives the Chiefs a dynamic new weapon to take pressure off Mahomes, and with the addition of Emari Demercado in free agency and rookie Emmett Johnson via the draft, the running back room has been completely retooled.
• ✅ The Chiefs drafted top cornerback Mansoor Delane, an instant replacement for Trent McDuffie, who was traded for four draft picks. The haul from that deal also helped address pass-rush needs.

👎 Case Against: 

• ❌ Mahomes' health is in question and the Chiefs didn't draft a single offensive lineman. This is a surprising move given they have a quarterback coming off ACL surgery who you'd think they'd want to protect at all costs. The Chiefs' line is strong in its current state, but if depth is tested in its current state, things get concerning.
• ❌ The defense took a hit after trading All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Rams. The draft addressed some of those gaps, but rookies still need to prove they can contribute right away. 
• ❌ Veterans are getting older, and retooling has not been proven yet. The entire secondary will look different from last year.

• ❌ A new offensive coordinator typically means a new system, and Jalen Hurts plays a specific brand of football. One injury to Barkley and this offense loses its most dynamic threat.
• ❌ Drafting Lemon and Stowers in the first two rounds bolsters the offense, but losing A.J. Brown won't be a one-for-one replacement.
