Placed on injured reserve
The Titans placed Jefferson (forearm) on injured reserve Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was already ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jaguars, and his placement on injured reserve is a procedural move to open space on the Titans' 53-man roster for the return of Bryce Oliver (knee) from IR. Jefferson will end the 2025 season with 29 catches (on 52 targets) for 350 yards and one touchdown across 16 games. The sixth-year wideout will enter the offseason as a free agent.

Jefferson has regressed in each season since posting 821 yards in 2021. Ultimately, Jefferson is best cast as a rotational receiver. Even if the receiver sees a solid snap share, the expectation is that the Steelers will be a run-heavy team. In terms of targets, George Pickens should dominate, leaving little for the ancillary receivers. After being targeted 43 and 44 times over the past two seasons, Jefferson could see similar work this year in Pittsburgh. Consequently, a 300-yard season would be considered a success.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see expanded Week 7 role
Jefferson could be in line for a larger role against the Patriots in Week 7, as Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports that Calvin Ridley didn't practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Ridley appears to be trending toward an absence against the Patriots after hurting his hamstring during Tennessee's Week 6 loss to the Raiders. Jefferson was the primary beneficiary of Ridley's Week 6 exit, as Jefferson posted a season-high 75 receiving yards against the Raiders. Jefferson had only 24 receiving yards in the previous five games while working in a depth role. He was a limited participant Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
