Brownlee played five of 64 offensive snaps during the Chiefs' 14-12 loss to the Raiders on Sunday but did not show up on the box score otherwise. Brownlee spent time on the Chiefs' practice squad and active roster in 2025 and appeared in six regular-season games, failing to record a catch on one target. He'll enter the 2026 offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

Brownlee got an audition in a larger role as an undrafted free agent rookie down the stretch in 2023. He played over 80 percent of the Jets' offensive snaps in four of the team's final seven games but finished with only five catches for 56 yards and one touchdown in seven appearances. The 25-year-old wide receiver finds himself on the roster bubble heading into 2024 after the Jets signed Mike Williams and drafted Malachi Corley in the third round. Even if Brownlee makes the team, it would likely take multiple injuries ahead of him to carve out a prominent role.
