Winston completed 37 of 66 pass attempts for 567 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions over three games during the 2025-26 regular season. He added seven rushes for 23 yards and a touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Winston signed with New York in March, but the team then inked Russell Wilson a few days later and drafted Jaxson Dart in April's NFL Draft, reducing the significance of Winston's signing considerably. The veteran QB did end up making a pair of starts after Wilson was demoted and Dart was sidelined by a concussion, but Winston didn't do much to impress as a passer in those opportunities, and he completed the campaign in a backup role. Winston's contract was a two-year deal, so he could return as Dart's backup next season.

Winston was stuck as the back up in New Orleans the last couple years, but he impressed as the starter in 2021 -- 14/3 TD/INT -- before tearing an ACL in Week 8. He could be back in a starting role this season after signing a one-year deal with the Browns in March. Deshaun Watson is recovering from shoulder surgery, and while he’s reportedly made steady progress, there’s a chance he’s not ready for Week 1. Assuming Winston beats out fellow free-agent acquisition Tyler Huntley, he’ll have a solid group of playmakers to exploit. The Browns added Jerry Jeudy this offseason to form an excellent WR trio with Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore, in addition to tight end Davis Njoku and running back Nick Chubb (though Chubb is coming off a knee injury). At 30, Winston probably isn’t as mobile as he once was, but he should still add some rushing upside.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Moving to No. 2 role Monday
Winston, who's started the last two games while Jaxson Dart has been in concussion protocol, is slated to serve in the No. 2 QB role during Monday night's game against the Patriots, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dart cleared concussion protocol Thursday and has participated in practice without limitations during the first two sessions of Week 13 prep, paving the way for his return against the Patriots. That will send Winston back to the bench, although the veteran quarterback is expected to serve in the No. 2 role over fellow veteran Russell Wilson. Winston nearly led the Giants to an upset over the Lions in Week 12, and he threw for 567 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions while adding both a rushing and receiving score during his two games at the helm.
