2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
For his long-term projection, Egbuka did well to land in Tampa Bay with the 19th overall pick, joining a franchise with a solid quarterback and a strong recent track record of success and production. Egbuka's Year 1 fantasy projection is also on the up and up, with Chris Godwin (ankle) missing all of training camp and Jalen McMillan (neck) expected to miss at least the first month of the regular season. Like his new teammates in Tampa's talented WR room, Egbuka is no burner, having run a 4.45 40 at his pro day after averaging 14.0 yards per catch on a school-record 205 receptions at Ohio State, where he played more than two-thirds of his snaps from the slot. At 6-foot-1, 202, Egbuka won't necessarily be limited to the slot in the NFL, potentially offering inside-out versatility (like Godwin). Reports from training camp had been glowing even before Godwin's prolonged absence and McMillan's injury gave Egbuka a clearer path to the No. 2 WR role in Week 1. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Four catches in Week 13 win
Egbuka brought in four of eight targets for 42 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-17 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Egbuka finished as the team leader in receptions and targets on the afternoon, even as Chris Godwin took on an enhanced role compared to his Week 12 return and finished with a team-high 78 yards. Egbuka has posted between three and six receptions in the last six contests, but he's been above 58 receiving yards just once in that same span. Egbuka should have a chance to put together a more productive performance in a Week 14 home matchup against a beatable Saints defense.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
No. 1 receiver for Week 8, beyond
Egbuka is set to operate as the Buccaneers' No. 1 receiver in Sunday's Week 8 road matchup against the Saints and could log multiple games in that role due to injuries to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie has been the one steady component of the top half of the Buccaneers' wide-receiver depth chart over the first seven games, as he's helped Tampa Bay weather the alternating absences of Evans and Godwin. However, both players will be out in Week 8 since Evans has suffered a broken collarbone and Godwin is already confirmed to be missing a third straight game due to a fibula injury. Considering Evans' best-case scenario is a late-season return and Godwin's injury is to the same leg on which he suffered a dislocated ankle that cut short his 2024 season, Egbuka could be primed for a multi-week run atop the depth chart.
