2025 Fantasy Outlook
After a season-ending injury three plays into 2023, a disappointing 2024 earned Rodgers a ticket out of New York with one year left on his contract. He lacked mobility coming off the Achilles tear and dealt with a hamstring injury much of the year, but the biggest issue was an inability to stretch the field. He had a career-low 6.8-yard average target depth, 31st in the league, as nearly 70 percent of his attempts came less than 10 yards downfield (4th). The midseason arrival of favorite-target Davante Adams didn’t change much. Rodgers finished eighth in yards and tied for seventh in TD passes, but that was good for just QB15 in fantasy, a career low for a full season. Rodgers signed with Pittsburgh in June, where he’ll just have one quality WR -- the Steelers traded for DK Metcalf in March, only to trade George Pickens in May -- and two quality TE -- the Steelers traded for Jonnu Smith in June to pair with Pat Freiermuth. Potential starters alongside Metcalf include Robert Woods, who is 33, and Calvin Austin, who is 5-foot-9, 169. The offense likely will run through the backfield anyway, much like it did last year when the Steelers were 28th in pass percentage (52.7) and 29th in pass attempts (506). Unless Rodgers dramatically increases his YPA (6.7, 28th), 500 attempts isn’t going to get it done for fantasy, especially for a 41-year-old QB without rushing upside. Read Past Outlooks

Practices fully Thursday
Rodgers (left wrist) practiced fully Thursday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Rodgers logged a 'DNP' on Wednesday as he continues to work through a left wrist fracture that he sustained in Week 11, per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. When asked if he feels like his wrist is healing, and if he anticipates making any tweaks to the cast and stabilizer that he used this past Sunday against the Bills, Rodgers said Wednesday, "Yeah, I hope so. ... It's definitely healing. I appreciate the extra day off." The QB's return to a full practice Thursday sets the stage for him to start Sunday's game against the Ravens, with both teams heading into Week 14 action at 6-6, which puts them atop the AFC North standings.

Rodgers’ first year in New York lasted 3 minutes, 45 seconds before an Achilles' tear in the opener sidelined him for the season. Remarkably, he was activated off injured reserve and returned to practice the final three weeks of the season. He said in February he still couldn’t sprint at full speed, but he’s expected to be fully recovered come training camp. Achilles injuries are notoriously difficult to overcome, though, and a setback wouldn’t be surprising, especially at 40 years old. Rodgers isn’t the Jets’ only wild card. Free-agent WR Mike Williams is coming off an ACL injury and might not be ready for Week 1, and there’s no telling how the run-after-catch game of third-round pick Malachi Corley -- a 5-11, 215-pound slot WR with 4.56 speed -- will translate to the NFL. On the plus side, the Jets remade their offensive line this offseason, signing LT Tyron Smith and LG John Simpson, trading for RT Morgan Moses and drafting OT Olu Fashanu 11th overall. It (probably) can’t be worse than last year’s O-line that allowed 64 sacks (4th most). No. 1 wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall give Rodgers at least two reliable playmakers. With a little good fortune, Rodgers could jump into the top 15 of fantasy quarterbacks.
