2025 Projections
Lackluster year in Denver
Engram ended the 2025 campaign with 50 receptions (on 76 targets) for 461 yards and one touchdown, adding one carry for seven yards across 16 regular-season games. He added three catches (on six targets) for 26 yards over two playoff contests.
ANALYSIS
Engram's first year in Denver was mostly a disappointment, as the tight end was not a major part of the offensive game plan most weeks. The veteran played over 50 percent of the offensive snaps just three times during the regular season, while teammate Adam Trautman saw the field as a blocking specialist more often. With that said, Engram still managed to finish third in receiving yards on the team behind Courtland Sutton (1,017) and Troy Franklin (709), as quarterback Bo Nix spread the ball around to several different pass catchers throughout the season. The 31-year-old remains under contract for the 2026 season, but based on his current usage in head coach Sean Payton's offense, he'll likely be difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production once again.

Engram led all tight ends in both targets (143) and catches (114) last year, which helped him to a career high for receiving yards (963) in addition to those two aforementioned categories. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound tight end is one of the fastest players at his position and excels at getting open on short routes, but he's never been much of a downfield or red-zone threat like many of the league's larger tight ends. He hasn't scored more than four touchdowns in a season since he had six as a rookie in 2017, and his 10 red-zone targets last year were tied for 14th among tight ends. On a more positive note, the butter fingers that plagued Engram in New York haven’t followed him to Jacksonville, where he's dropped only eight of 241 targets through two years (though he fumbled three times last season). The Jaguars made big changes to their receiving corps in the offseason, but it's hard to say how that affects Engram, if at all, with Gabe Davis and rookie Brian Thomas replacing Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones. A healthier year from WR Christian Kirk might have more impact on Engram's volume given that both compete for short targets, whereas Davis and Thomas figure to run a lot of deep routes. Engram probably won't score many touchdowns or match last year's volume, but he's still a good bet to rank among the TE leaders in catches and targets, making him a solid starter for PPR formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Wants to remain in Denver
Engram, who had a mixed first season in Denver in 2025, wants to return to the Broncos next season, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Engram signed a two-year, $23 million deal last offseason, but he ended up playing just 42 percent of the snaps over 16 regular-season games this past regular season. The veteran tight end conceded recently that he found the modest playing time challenging to deal with at times, but he added he was very happy with the team around him and was hoping to return. If the Broncos opted to cut the 31-year-old after June 1 this offseason, they could save over $7 million, but Engram remains optimistic the team will have a spot for him on next year's roster.
