This article is part of our College Basketball Picks series.
We have a pretty extensive college basketball pick'em slate Tuesday, but just seven of the 25 ranked teams are in action, and none of them are facing each other. We have some intriguing action, though, including No. 23 Miami (Ohio) traveling to Buffalo to face a team it nearly lost to earlier this season. Additionally, No. 19 Saint Louis is also on the road at Davidson, which is never an easy place to play.
We were a perfect 3-for-3 last Tuesday, so let's do it again, what do you say? We're here to help provide a trio of picks on select days throughout the week, hopefully helping you get into the black, as we head deeper into February, leading up to conference tournaments. It's never too early to start squirreling away money for March Madness, too.
College Basketball PrizePicks Picks & Strategy
If you're unfamiliar with how to play, you must simply choose at least two players from any sport and pick more or less based on their projected statistics to win. We'll obviously be exclusively selecting college hoops players, but you can mix and match from various other sports. You can also go with a flex play, meaning you still can have a winning night even if you have one losing selection. Or, you can go big and choose the power play, which pays out higher. However, you must hit all ends to win. Let's get started.

Almar Atlason, F, Miami Ohio .png)
There are five options to choose from the Redhawks for Tuesday's 6:30 p.m. ET tip time at Buffalo. Atlason is averaging 10.9 points per game (PPG) this season, but he simply needs to get to nine points to cash this play. His teammates each must exceed their season averages to hit the More on PrizePicks, so we'll lean on Atlason.
The 6-foot-8 junior from Reyjavik, Iceland has cooled off lately, hitting just 6-of-26 from the field, or just 23.1 percent, in the past four games. That might give prospective players some pause. He also has single-digit point totals in six in a row, going for nine or more points just once in the past six.
However, Buffalo isn't a very good defensive team, ranking 201st in the nation with 75.7 PPG allowed, while checking in a dismal 46.4 percent in defensive field-goal percentage, which is 310th. If Atlason was ever going to snap back on track, it's in this one.
CBB PrizePicks Selection: Almar Atlason, More 8.5 Points
Bryce Hopkins, F, St. John's
We haven't done one of these kind of plays in a while, but they've been my favorite over the years. We simply need Hopkins to make a single three-pointer to cash.
The bad news is that Hopkins has made just a single three-pointer in the past five games, going 1-for-8 (12.5 percent) in the category. The senior does have the range, however, and against a poor defensive team, he should be able to take advantage.
That's the good news, too. While DePaul isn't nearly as awful as past seasons on the defensive side of the ball, allowing a respectable 69.5 PPG (58th), while limiting teams to 42.7 percent (112th) from the field, the perimeter defense of the Blue Demons is horrific. DePaul ranks just 268th against the three-pointer, allowing opponents to hit 34.9 percent.
CBB PrizePicks Selection: Bryce Hopkins, More 0.5 Three-Pointers

Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn, F, UNLV
Gibbs-Lawhorn has been a scoring machine for the Runnin' Rebels lately, going for 21 or more points in three of the past four games, while hitting 52.4 percent or better in four of the previous five outings.
While facing the Fresno State defense would normally be a tall order, as the Bulldogs give up just 70.3 PPG (70th), and a 27.7 percent (6th) defensive three-pointer percentage, it didn't seem to bother Gibbs-Lawhorn in the first meeting in Las Vegas on Dec. 20.
In the first meeting against Fresno State, Gibbs-Lawhorn was good for 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including a season-high six three-pointers, while finishing with seven rebounds and four assists. Let's go high on his PRA total, and look for most of the damage to be done in the points department.
