Jarrad Branthwaite

Branthwaite returned to light training Tuesday in his recovery from a long-term hamstring injury.

Branthwaite (hamstring) is back on grass and nearing a return from injury, coach David Moyes said in a press conference. "He's back on grass, hopefully not to far."

Branthwaite (hamstring) is getting closer to the grass and could return by the end of the month, coach David Moyes said in the press conference. "Jarrad is getting closer to the grass now and getting closer, so we're hoping we can maybe get him by the end of the month - but it might be a bit longer than that. We'll need to see. He is not due to integrate back for another two or three weeks, maybe more. We are getting closer to a point of that. My bigger worry is that he has missed so much of the season and has to get back in to the swing of it. There is a plan for him and he is on that at the moment."

Branthwaite (hamstring) is back on grass, according to manager David Moyes. "With Jared and Merlin, they are back on the grass doing some work. Merlin is obviously much further on than Jared. But they are both back on the grass, and hopefully we will start to see a chance to get them back soon."

Branthwaite was expected to return for Saturday's clash against Manchester City before suffering a setback that will sideline him several months, coach David Moyes confirmed in the press conference. "We had him back, we had him back in training. We expected him to be very close for Man City, but it just didn't feel quite right, so we got it checked and got some work done on it."
