Gittens (hamstring) is nearing a return to play within the next week or two, according to manager Liam Rosenior. "Elsewhere, Jamie is getting really close [to a return], and he had a really positive scan. We hope that he can be back with the group within the next seven days or so."

Gittens (hamstring) is still progressing through his injury and is not an option for Wednesday's match against Aston Villa, according to manager Liam Rosenior.

"With Jamie Gittens, unfortunately it's looking a little more long-term for him. He's got a tear in his hamstring which is a real shame for him and he will be a big miss for us. I've not had the chance to work with him for long but I know about his career and what an outstanding player he is, so it's a big loss. It's too early to say how long he will be out for right now."

Gittens has suffered a hamstring injury and is a late call for Tuesday's match against Arsenal, according to manager Liam Rosenior. "Jamie unfortunately felt his hamstring, I don't know the extent of the injury. It's a real shame for him because I wanted to give him a start, and I wanted him to show what he could do. So, for him to come off after 25 minutes is disappointing for him, and hopefully it's not too bad."
