Irvine (jaw) is fit for Sunday's match against Hoffenheim, according to manager Alexander Blessin. "Jackson trained fully again today, so there's nothing stopping him from playing."

Irvine was spotted in team training on Monday as he is nearing a return from an injury suffered last season, but the captain sustained a jaw injury during the session after colliding with a goal post, according to BILD.

Irvine (undisclosed) is an option for Saturday's match against Werder Bremen, according to manager Alexander Belssin. "Jackson is increasing his pace and is on schedule."

Irvine is ruled out for Friday's clash against Stuttgart due to muscular problems, coach Alexander Blessin said in the press conference. "Jackson has muscle problems, he won't be fit enough for the match in Stuttgart. We'll see how long it takes for Jacko. There will always be times when the muscle tightens. We have to manage them more carefully."
