Snuggerud made an immediate impact in the NHL after finishing his junior season with the University of Minnesota in 2024-25. He contributed one goal, three assists, 10 shots, four blocks and three hits in seven regular-season outings with the Blues before adding two goals, two helpers, 12 shots, three blocks and nine hits in seven playoff appearances. He logged time in the top-six group while splitting playing time alongside Robert Thomas and Brayden Schenn. The 21-year-old Snuggerud also logged action on the team's first power-play unit. Snuggerud will undergo surgery for a left wrist injury that will sideline him for at least six weeks. Per the Blues' announcement, Snuggerud has also been placed on injured reserve.

Snuggerud still logged 15:02 of ice time against the Mammoth on Saturday, including 2:20 on the power play, which didn't immediately indicate he was going to be out long term. The 21-year-old winger is stuck in an eight-game goal drought as well as going seven contests without a point. He'll now have to wait until mid-January for his next opportunity to break out of his slump. In a corresponding move, Aleksanteri Kaskimaki was recalled from the minors.
