St. Louis Blues at Nashville Predators

The Blues (20-26-9) and Predators (25-23-6) meet at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Monday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.

These teams meet for the fourth and final time in the regular season. St. Louis won 3-2 on home ice Dec. 27 in the most recent meeting as a slight favorite (-115) while the Under (5.5) cashed. However, the Predators won the first two meetings, hitting the Over (5.5) in each matchup. That includes a 7-2 win in the Music City on Dec. 11 as slight favorites (-135) as the Over (5.5) connected.

The Blues are skidding again, going 1-5-1 in the past seven games, while the Over has cashed in four consecutive matchups. The Blues have allowed three or more goals in seven straight outings, and 4.5 goals per game (GPG) in the past four-game Over streak.

St. Louis right wing Jimmy Snuggerud enters play with a four-game point streak, going for two goals and six points with a plus-2 rating in the past four games, while center Brayden Schenn has rattled off three goals and five points in the same span.

The Predators topped the New York Islanders 4-3 at even-money (+100) as the Over (5.5) cashed, and Nashville has at least one point in four of the past five matchups, going 2-1-2, with the Over going 7-2 across the past nine outings. Like St. Louis, Nashville has struggled to stop pucks, allowing three or more goals in nine straight games, or 3.9 GPG.

Preds defenseman Roman Josi has popped off for five goals and 15 points across the past 10 games, or 1.5 points per game (PPG).

Jordan Binnington (8-15-6, 3.60 GAA, .866 SV%, 1 SO) is expected to start for the Blues, while Juuse Saros (21-17-4, 3.04 GAA, .895 SV%) is expected to man the nets for the Preds. Both have been very giving lately, and we're going to go Over on the total, with the Predators worth playing lightly as a moderate favorite. Additionally, if your book has Over at 5.5, go rather aggressively on that straight up.

  • Predators ML (-150 at Bet365 and BetMGM Sportsbooks)
  • Over 5.5 (-122 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Vancouver Canucks at Utah Mammoth

The Canucks (18-31-6) meet the Mammoth (28-23-4) at Delta Center in Salt Lake City at 9:30 p.m. ET.

These teams met in British Columbia on Dec. 5 in the first of three regular-season meetings, with Utah winning 4-1 as moderate favorites (-135) as the Under (6) cashed. The Mammoth have won all four meetings since the organization relocated and rebranded from the Arizona Coyotes, and the Under is 4-0 in the span as well, with Utah giving up just five total goals (1.25 goals per game) in the series.

Vancouver is coming off a 3-2 shootout loss at home to Toronto on Saturday, and it is just 1-3-1 in the past five games, and 2-12-3 in the past 17 matchups. The Canucks have scored exactly two goals in each of their past four games as well, cashing the Under in three of the previous four contests.

Utah was dumped by the Dallas Stars on Saturday at home, 3-2, and it also lost a one-goal game Thursday in a 5-4 collapse at Carolina. In fact, the Mammoth have played three straight one-goal games, going 1-2-0 in that span, and seven of the past 13 games have been decided by a single goal.

However, Utah has dominated this series, winning the previous two meetings by two or more goals. Additionally, Vancouver has scored a total of five goals in the past four matchups, and it is, by far, a worse team this season.

Kevin Lankinen (7-17-4, 3.53 GAA, .881 SV%) is expected to go for the visitors in the crease, while Karel Vejmelka (25-13-2, 2.64 GAA, .899 SV%, 1 SO) is likely for the home side.

Let's back Utah laying the goal and a half, and we'll go low on the total, based on Vancouver's power outage on offense.

  • Mammoth -1.5 Goals (-102 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
  • Under 6.5 (-112 at BetRivers Sportsbook)
