2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gadsden converted from wide receiver to tight end at Syracuse, demonstrating intriguing pass catching capabilities at both positions. After posting 975 receiving yards and six touchdowns as a wideout in 2022, he was similarly effective with 934 receiving yards and seven TDs as a TE in 2024. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Chargers, so Gadsden is likely to slot in behind Tyler Conklin and Will Dissly on the depth chart, at least initially. The 6-foot-5, 241-pound Gadsden will need to prove he can block at the NFL level to earn consistent playing time, but there’s some long-term upside here given his skill set and situation. Gains 30 yards against NE
Gadsden had three receptions on as many targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 16-3 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Gadsden's pedestrian receiving line was actually good enough for second among Los Angeles' receiving options in a dismal passing display on the road against New England. The 22-year-old still can hang his hat on overachieving during the regular season, as he produced a 49-664-3 receiving line over 15 regular-season games after being taken in the fifth round of April's NFL Draft. Gadsden never relinquished his grasp on the starting job once he took over for an injured Will Dissly in Week 4. Gadsden, a Syracuse product, is in prime position to thrive in his sophomore season when he begins the 2026 campaign as the Chargers' starting tight end.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Stands out in Saturday's practice
Gadsden showed good rapport with Justin Herbert during Saturday's training camp practice, Eric Smith of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie fifth-round pick out of Syracuse recorded three catches during Saturday evening's practice session, with all those throws coming off the arm of Herbert. Notably, two of the athletic tight end's receptions were chunk plays, as Smith notes Gadsden and Herbert connected for a gain of over 20 yards up the seam and then hit paydirt again with a long completion down the left sideline in 11-on-11 drills.
