2025 Fantasy Outlook
Golden was one of the stars of the pre-draft process, eventually landing in Green Bay with the 23rd overall pick after running a 4.29 40 at 5-foot-11, 191. That makes him small by general NFL wideout standards but notably heavier than recent undersized burners like Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown. It was Worthy who Golden replaced at Texas, transferring for 2024 after catching 76 passes for 988 yards and 13 TDs in two seasons at Houston. The one year in Austin yielded a 58-987-9 receiving line in 16 games, highlighted by a 162-yard performance against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game and a 149-yard showing against ASU in the CFP Quarterfinals. It shouldn't take long for Golden to get on the field in Green Bay, but it’s unclear whether he’ll be a frequent target or mainly used to stretch defenses with clear-out routes. The team's other deep threat, Christian Watson, likely will miss a chunk of the season after suffering an ACL tear in January, leaving Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks as the main obstacles to immediate playing time for Golden. RANKS
Productive postseason debut in loss
Golden brought in four of five targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' 31-27 wild-card loss to the Bears on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
The speedy rookie put together an inconsistent debut campaign, but he was a key part of the Packers' success in his first career postseason game. Golden finished tied for second in catches and as the runner-up in receiving yards as well for Green Bay on the night, and he flashed with a 36-yard reception and a 23-yard touchdown grab that came with under seven minutes remaining in the contest. Golden finished the 2025 regular season with a 29-361-0 line on 44 targets, a 10-49-0 tally on the ground and 28 punt-return yards across 14 games. Considering Romeo Doubs is a candidate to leave via unrestricted free agency this offseason, Golden should be primed for a busy and more productive second season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Development a priority in 2026
Golden is a player the Packers will likely try to get the ball to more often next season, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite using a first-round pick on Golden last April, 23rd overall, Green Bay didn't make him a focal point of the passing game. The Texas product wound up with only 29 catches on 44 targets through 14 regular-season games while also getting 10 carries, producing 410 yards from scrimmage and zero TDs. However, Golden showed his explosiveness in a wild-card loss to the Bears, taking a receiver screen 23 yards to the end zone while nimbly avoiding multiple defenders. With Romeo Doubs likely headed elsewhere in free agency and quarterback Jordan Love having already said Golden didn't get the ball enough as a rookie, he could be primed for a Year 2 breakout.
