2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Bears now have six playmakers that were top-50 draft picks, adding TE Colston Loveland at No. 10 overall and Burden at No. 39 to round out an offense that also includes WR DJ Moore, WR Rome Odunze, TE Cole Kmet and RB D'Andre Swift. Burden's first challenge will be to earn the No. 3 WR job this summer, likely competing against free-agent signing Olamide Zaccheaus. Burden is one of the younger players from his draft class, turning 22 in December, and had a prolific career at Missouri with 2,263 receiving yards, 234 rushing yards and 25 total TDs over three seasons. He was far more productive in 2023 than in 2024, but his draft stock rebounded some after a 4.41 40 at the combine, where he checked in at 6-foot, 206. Burden's dense frame and strong work after the catch have evoked comparisons to his new teammate, Moore, who signed a four-year extension last summer. Chicago isn't the best landing spot to get big-time volume right away, but it could work out well eventually if new coach Ben Johnson helps Caleb Williams recover from an ugly rookie season. RANKS
Quiet end to impressive rookie year
Burden secured three of seven targets for 24 yards during Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Rams in the divisional round. He also ran the ball once for a gain of zero yards.
ANALYSIS
Burden drew the third-most targets of any Bears' skill-position player Sunday, trailing only Colston Loveland (concussion) and DJ Moore, but he struggled to get much going versus Los Angeles' stout defense and finished fifth on the team in terms of receiving yards. While Burden was relatively quiet in his two postseason showings, he's decidedly coming off an impressive rookie campaign. Across 15 regular-season appearances Burden tallied a 47-652-2 line on 60 targets, including two 100-yard games. He also rushed six times for 37 yards and compiled 223 yards as a kick returner. Burden's YAC ability, chemistry with Caleb Williams and fit in head coach Ben Johnson's offense promise to make him a popular Year 2 breakout candidate.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Chemistry with QB needs improvement
Head coach Ben Johnson said Wednesday improving the chemistry between Caleb Williams and pass catchers such as Burden will be a "point of emphasis" this offseason, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Among the Bears' 29 drops during the 2025 season -- the fifth most in the league -- Burden's four tied for fourth most on the team with D'Andre Swift. Burden had an impressive rookie season and played his best football down the stretch while generating a 40-547-1 line on 59 targets over Chicago's last 10 regular-season and postseason games; however, with an even bigger role projected for 2026, getting on the same page with Williams will naturally be critical.
