2025 Fantasy Outlook
Dotson spent all of last season as the Eagles' third wide receiver in an offense that doesn't share many targets beyond the top pairing of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. As a result, his numbers took a big hit, as he finished the regular season with 19 catches for 216 yards and no touchdowns after recording 49 catches for 518 yards and four scores the season prior in Washington. Seven of his 19 catches came in Week 18, with the Eagles' starters resting, meaning he averaged just 0.75 catches per game in his usual third wideout role, the same one he'll be filling this season. Finishes season with 18 catches
Dotson finished his second season with the Eagles with a total of 18 receptions for 262 yards and one touchdown in 17 regular-season games.
ANALYSIS
Dotson's numbers were very similar to last year's 19 catches for 216 yards and zero scores, a big step down from his average of 42 catches for 520.5 yards and 5.5 touchdowns in his first two years in the league with Washington. If he remains stuck behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in Philadelphia again next season, expect similar production.

2022
A 2022 first-round pick, Dotson had an interesting first two years in the league. As a rookie, he averaged 2.9 catches, 43.6 yards and 0.58 TDs in 12 games. Last year, Dotson played all 17 games and again averaged 2.9 catches but made far fewer big plays (he averaged only 30.0 yards and 0.24 TDs per game). Part of the issue was poor coaching and QB play, though that was perhaps true both seasons and doesn't necessarily explain the drop off between Years 1 and 2. The Commanders weren't sold on a bounce back and ultimately traded Dotson and a fifth-round pick to the division-rival Eagles on Aug. 22 for a third-round selection and two seventh-rounders. While the change of scenery might do him some good, Dotson now finds himself competing for the No. 3 receiver role in an offense that figures to be heavily focused on WRs A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith, RB Saquon Barkley and TE Dallas Goedert. Any real-life benefit for the young wideout won't necessarily materialize in terms of fantasy value.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Bumping up to No. 2 spot
Dotson will serve as the Eagles' No. 2 receiver in Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Giants as part of the ripple effect of A.J. Brown being ruled for the contest due to a hamstring injury, per Tim McManus of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Dotson has once again played a bit role in the offense through the first seven games, even after starting the season in encouraging fashion with a 3-59-0 line against the Cowboys in Week 1. Since that contest, Dotson has just four receptions for 52 yards on nine targets, but he'll be poised for his best opportunity of the season yet against New York. Dotson didn't see any benefit from Brown's absences in Weeks 2-4 last season, although he did record a season-best 7-94-0 line on 11 targets in Week 18 when both Brown and DeVonta Smith sat out.
