Struggles to stand out
Wicks (concussion) finished the 2025 regular season with 30 catches for 332 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games.
ANALYSIS
A calf strain, an ankle sprain and a concussion did force Wicks to miss three contests and play fewer than 10 snaps in two others, but he was available for much of the year, and he still finished only third on the team with 46 targets during the regular season. Christian Watson saw more targets (55) than Wicks even though he sat for the first six games of the campaign. The 2023 fifth-round pick has yet to record 40 or more catches in a season across his three-year career.

Wicks came in as a fifth-round pick last year and played 50-to-66 percent of snaps in Green Bay's first four games, before sliding back to the bench once 2022 second-rounder Christian Watson got healthy. Wicks had just six catches for 85 yards over those first four games, but he caught fire in his part-time role, hauling in 16 of 22 targets for 279 yards over a six-game stretch in which he never played more than 30 snaps. He became a starter again in December with Watson and fellow rookie Jayden Reed bothered by injuries, only to suffer a chest injury of his own in the process of making a TD catch Week 16. Wicks came back Week 18 and caught a pair of TD passes, giving him a 16-207-3 receiving line on 22 targets over his final four appearances of the regular season. He then split snaps with Watson in two playoff games and had 2-25-1 on four targets, while Romeo Doubs took the lead in Green Bay's passing game. Overall, Wicks' rookie season was a pleasant surprise given his 430-yard senior year at Virginia and 4.62 40 time at the 2023 Combine. On the other hand, he'd put up 1,203 yards and nine TDs as a junior, and his non-40 workout numbers were impressive, including a 39-inch vertical and 130-inch broad jump at 6-1, 206. Wicks is probably the most physical among Green Bay's group of talented young wideouts, but the target projection is tricky given that Watson, Doubs and Reed all were drafted earlier and also have made their respective cases as NFL starters. It might take an injury or two for Wicks to get the volume he deserves in a Green Bay offense that caught fire in the second half of last season with QB Jordan Love and HC Matt LaFleur firing on all cylinders.

Takes exception to Jacobs' comments
Wicks reacted to a social media video of teammate Josh Jacobs saying that the Packers needed to add a "proven No. 1" receiver this offseason with a thumbs down emoji Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jacobs made multiple media appearances Wednesday and essentially expressed the same sentiment during each one about Green Bay's wide receiver situation. The veteran running back, who just signed with the Packers last offseason, said he was very high on the potential of the team's current wideout crop despite his comments. Meanwhile, Wicks, -- who put together a 78-996-9 receiving line across 32 games in his first two seasons -- unsurprisingly disagreed with Jacobs' assessment.
