Cunha (knock) was spotted back in team training on Wednesday, one day ahead of Thursday's clash against West Ham United, and is an option, according to manager Ruebin Amorim. "The rest of the squad is good. Matheus is good."

Cunha (knock) remains out for Sunday's clash against Crystal Palace but is due to be back midweek for the game against West Ham United, coach Ruben Amorim said in the press conference. "I expect to have Matheus in the next one [West Ham United on Thursday], not this one."

Cunha is sidelined with a knock suffered in training last week, manager Ruben Amorim confirmed. "It was a knock in the training, I don't know how long he is going to stay out. I think it's nothing serious but we cannot risk players."

Cunha is thought to have only suffered a minor head injury in training Saturday and is questionable for Monday's match against Everton, according to Alex Crook of Talk Sport.

Cunha is in question for Monday's match against Everton after it was reported he would not attend an event Saturday night due to a training accident, according to Visit Altrincham, per Simon Stone of the BBC. "Unfortunately, Matheus has had an accident in training today and will not be able to attend tonight's Christmas Lights Switch on in Altrincham due to medical reasons."
