Kaars has signed a contract with St. Pauli, joining on a permanent move from FC Magdeburg,
his new club announced. "Martijn Kaars is a versatile striker who fits our profile perfectly. He has demonstrated his qualities as a center forward, but can also be dangerous on the wings. On the pitch, he displays an exciting combination of speed, ground gain and finesse," said Andreas Bornemann, Sporting Director of St. Pauli.
ANALYSIS
Kaars scored 19 goals and provided six assists last season for FC Magdeburg. Before playing in the German second division, the striker played in the Netherlands where he scored 62 goals and provided 15 assists in 178 appearances. This season, he has already scored two goals across all competitions in Germany and will add a qualitative option in the frontline under coach Alexander Blessin.
