Fernandez was forced off at the break in Sunday's 3-1 defeat against Real Sociedad due to an ankle injury, coach Claudio Giraldez said in a press conference, according to Mundo Celeste. "He asked us for the substitution. He's got something there. We need to run some tests, to see how he is. It's been a hard tackle and we'll see what happens. For now, he had it swollen and we'll see."
