Paredes (foot) has begun to train again and is nearing a return to the squad, according to interim manager Daniel Bauer. "Kevin has already completed parts of the team training, and we hope to welcome him back into the matchday squad soon."

Paredes was expected to be back after the winter break, but it now appears the attacker could be closer to a return than that, with the attacker starting to train already. That said, the attacker is expected in the matchday squad again soon, hopefully before the end of December. He has yet to appear this season after only appearing twice all of last campaign, a rough spell for the attacker.

"It's probably a serious muscle injury, based on what he reported. That's probably it, I think. But it's not surprising: the boy was injured for almost a year, had a good game against Mainz, but you can see he's still missing a lot. We have to rely on players like him right now, because we're dealing with illness, injuries and other problems."
