Kijima joined D.C. United and immediately became a crucial piece of the starting XI. He made 29 appearances (20 starts) while adding a pair of goal contributions. The midfielder isn't a huge part of the attack, but he should be back in a large role in 2026. Kijima finished the season with some injury issues, but if he can get fit he could return to the large role he had in the first half of the campaign.
