Luiz only trained twice before Thursday's clash with Utrecht, per manager Sean Dyhe. "[Douglas] Luiz has trained for only two days. I don't normally like doing that, but he spoke to me and said he felt fine. He wanted to play."

Luiz played 45 minutes during Thursday's 2-1 win over Utrecht.

Luiz (hamstring) is travelling with the team to Utrecht and should return in Thursday's Europa League clash, coach Sean Dyche said in a press conference, according to Jak Netting from Vavel. "He is in the squad, and then we'll make a decision on it [whether he plays]. I think so [especially] with Luiz because of his depth of knowledge of his body and his knowledge of playing, and his experience."

Luiz (hamstring) "is close to getting back to training" according to manager Sean Dyche, Katie Stafford of BBC Sport reports.
