Van den Boomen has completed a loan move to Angers from Eredivisie team Ajax until the end of the 2025/26 season, the club announced Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Van den Boomen is coming off a quiet half season, as he failed to record a direct contribution in 12 league matches played (seven starts) in the Netherlands. On the other hand, the midfielder has a much more productive past in Ligue 1, where he tallied five goals and eight assists in one season with Toulouse. Van den Boomen is likely coming to Angers to replace Himad Abdelli who is nearing an exit from the SCO. The new addition to the roster could be a viable set-piece taker for the rest of the campaign.
