Alfon (calf) was back in team training Friday and could be an option for Sunday's clash against Valencia, manager Marcelino told media Friday. "We think Alfon will be available, he's progessing well, and while we'll make a decision Saturday, there's a big chance he'll be in the squad for the first time since his arrival."

Alfon is still dealing with a calf injury suffered in his Sevilla days and will be sidelined for several games, coach Marcelino Total confirmed in the press conference. "Alfon won't be available either, because we knew when we signed him that he had an injury and wouldn't be available for the first few matches."

Alfon (calf) has been loaned to Villarreal from Sevilla for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, the club announced Tuesday.

Alfon (undisclosed) was spotted back in team training on Friday and is expected to return to the match squad next week, coach Matias Almeyda said in the press conference, according to Zona Mixta. "Alfon is coming back and I think he'll be able to return next week."

Alfon is out for Monday's match against Celta Vigo.
