Vega (hamstring) was excluded from the match squad to face Monterrey on Saturday after failing to recover from his injury, Claro Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Vega failed to meet his recovery prognosis and was ultimately sidelined in both semifinal legs. He may have a last chance to return if Diablos advance to the championship matchup. Meanwhile, Helinho will continue to feature alongside Nicolas Castro and Jesus Ricardo Angulo in offensive midfield. This could once again be a huge blow for the squad given that Vega is one of their most talented attackers.

Wants to leave Liga MX

December 14, 2022
Vega does not want to play for Chivas in the 2023 Torneo Clausura and is pushing for a transfer to Europe, Enrique Pacheco of SoyFutbol reports.
ANALYSIS
Vega is pushing hard to play in Europe, but no real offers have been submitted for the Mexico international. With that in mind, Chivas has lowered his asking price, and if they're asking for $15 million for other Liga MX teams that want him, European clubs would "only" have to pay $4 million to sign the winger. Vega featured in all three matches for El Tri during the 2022 World Cup.
