Kareckaite defeated Nicolle Caliari via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

She closed with a 95-67 edge in total strikes landed, in addition to stuffing 11-of-14 takedown attempts. That said, the debuting Caliari did rack up almost two minutes worth of control time in each the first and third rounds, which is why one judge felt she deserved the win. Kareckaite picks up her first UFC victory after dropping a unanimous decision to Dione Barbosa in her company debut last May.
