Douglas Silva de Andrade

D. Silva

Brazil

Falls to 1-3 in past four fights
BantamweightUFC
February 28, 2026
Silva de Andrade lost to Javier Reyes via TKO (punches) at 4:59 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off a six-month suspension for a failed drug test, Silva de Andrade got back in the Octagon for the first time since June 2024 and struggled. To be fair, the Brazilian got off to a fast start. He scored a knockdown with a huge right hand early on but was unable to put Reyes away. The latter eventually recovered, landing a knockdown of his own before eventually putting DSDA down for good with one second left in the opening frame. Silva de Andrade keeps himself in excellent shape, but he'll be 41 years of age in late June, is 1-3 in his past four fights and has just a single victory dating back to February 2022. The end is near.

Returning against Reyes
BantamweightUFC
January 14, 2026
Silva de Andrade will fight Javier Reyes at UFC Mexico on Feb. 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
After serving a six-month suspension that was issued in July for a failed drug test, Silva de Andrade will now return and seek out his first victory since May 2023. The 40-year-old bantamweight will be at a 4.5-inch reach disadvantage against his new opponent but will come in with far more experience, as the fight will mark Reyes' UFC debut.
Suspended for failed drug test
BantamweightUFC
July 23, 2025
Silva de Andrade has been suspended for six months by the NSAC for a failed drug test, according to Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
ANALYSIS
The UFC already suspended Silva de Andrade for a doping violation, and the NSAC has followed suit. However, he has already served most of his suspension, with Aug. 14 being his first eligible return date. Silva de Andrade will also be fined $157.04 for his failed test.
Bout cancelled
BantamweightUFC
February 28, 2025
Silva de Andrade (undisclosed) will no longer fight John Castaneda in a bantamweight tilt at UFC Vegas 103, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
At the moment, it's unclear why exactly this fight has been cancelled, but it's the second fight to be pulled from the UFC Vegas 103 card. Silva de Andrade was looking to bounce back from a loss in his last fight out, but he'll have to wait a little longer to try to get back on the winning side of the octagon.
Booked against Castaneda
BantamweightUFC
January 24, 2025
Silva de Andrade will fight John Castaneda at UFC Vegas on March 1, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The 39-year-old bantamweight suffered a loss to Miles Johns his last time out, giving Silva de Andrade two losses in his last three fights. His next opponent is also coming off a loss but is six years younger than Silva de Andrade and will have a 2.5-inch reach advantage over him.
Drops decision in Vegas
BantamweightUFC
June 15, 2024
Silva de Andrade lost to Miles Johns via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A low output fight such as this one in which there wasn't a whole lot going on is not the ideal scenario for the soon-to-be 39-year-old Silva de Andrade. The Brazilian was the slightly more active fighter, but managed to land just 36 total/significant strikes over the course of 15 minutes. Johns wasn't much better, connecting on 52 of his own, but Miles landed what would be termed the harder blows. Silva de Andrade has fought just seven times since November 2019, sporting a 4-3 record over that span. He's alternated wins and losses in his past four fights.
