Freeman defeated Marek Bujlo via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Qatar on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Freeman stepped in on relatively short notice for Jose Luiz to make his UFC debut overseas, and the results were positive for the 33-year-old. However, neither man was really able to get much going in this fight, as even Freeman landed only 49 significant strikes in the 15-minute affair. He was almost in some hot water after he gave up position due to a slip in Round 3, but he was able to bounce back to his feet, and the transition led to him landing a strong left hand, his best of the fight. While Freeman got the win, his body of work (or lack thereof) suggests he won't be much more than heavyweight roster depth.

Freeman is scheduled to compete against Marek Bujlo in a heavyweight fight at UFC Qatar on Nov. 22, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
