2025 Fantasy Outlook
Homer re-signed after two quiet seasons in Chicago, seeing most of his work on special teams. He's logged just six carries and three receptions the last two years and holds no offensive role barring multiple injuries. A capable pass protector and special-teams ace, Homer is valuable to the roster but not in fantasy. Even with an impressive preseason, his ceiling remains low, and he's off the redraft radar heading into 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Not used on offense
Homer did not record an offensive statistic in the Bears' 19-16 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Homer finished the season appearing in 10 games and recorded one rushing attempt for minus-two yards, with no receptions. He totaled just seven offensive touches across three seasons with the Bears while contributing primarily on special teams, offering no fantasy relevance. He is set to hit free agency.

After spending the first four seasons of his career in Seattle and seeing occasional touches in a Seahawks backfield that seemed to be constantly dealing with injuries, Homer moved on to Chicago in 2023 and was almost exclusively used on special teams, seeing only six snaps on offense. Homer can do damage in open space and has some passing-down utility, but as a runner he generally only gets what his blocking creates for him. He'll fill a depth role in a Bears backfield that now features D'Andre Swift in the lead role.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see more work vs. Niners
Homer would be slated to serve as Chicago's top running back against San Francisco on Sunday if D'Andre Swift were to be ruled out due to a quadriceps injury.
ANALYSIS
Homer has not logged a carry since Week 2 against the Texans, as he's been stuck behind Swift and Roschon Johnson for much of the regular season. However, Johnson has been ruled out for Sunday's game due to a concussion, and Homer could be asked to take on an even larger role if Swift is limited or sidelined due to his quad injury. Homer did get some opportunities to serve as the lead back for the Seahawks in 2022 when Kenneth Walker was sidelined due to an ankle injury.
