2025 Projections
Starts 14 games in 2025
Green finished the regular season with 60 tackles (36 solo) and 10 passes defended across 14 starts with the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Green began his sophomore campaign as a starting corner and finished with similar counting stats to his rookie season, sans the two turnovers he forced last year. The 2024 second-round pick missed the last couple games of the regular season with an ankle injury, but he was able to recover in time to make a pair of playoff appearances. Green should have an inside track on a starting role next season, assuming the 49ers do not make significant additions to a secondary that ranked in the bottom third of the league in 2025.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
The 49ers finally decided to address the team's glaring concern regarding defensive back depth by selecting Green in the second round of this year's draft. The Florida State product was a standout player in college who could turn out to be a steal if his slight build (6-0, 186 pounds) doesn't hold him back at the pro level. Green's best shot to see the field as a rookie would be to win the 49ers' nickel job out of training camp.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be ripe for trade
Dan Graziano and Ben Solak of ESPN.com suggest Green could be a trade target of several other NFC teams this offseason.
ANALYSIS
Graziano and Solak make a solid case for a potential trade of Green, beginning with his extremely appealing contract that has two years at just $3.04 million remaining, with no guaranteed money. Additionally, Graziano points out Green, a 2024 second-round pick, is still just 25 and may not be a good fit with new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris' scheme. However, despite the fact the young cornerback suffered some mental lapses last season, Green still recorded double-digit pass breakups in each of his first two seasons.
