30-Year-Old SafetyS
Carolina Panthers
2025 Fantasy Outlook
The veteran safety inked a deal to return to Carolina after struggling in the 2024 season, during which his role was eventually limited to special teams. He recorded just 30 total tackles and two pass defenses over 10 games. However, with the departure of Jordan Fuller this offseason, Scott is likely to serve as the Panthers' top free safety to begin the 2025 campaign. Still, don't be surprised if Demani Richardson or Lathan Ransom take most of his reps by the end of the year. Read Past Outlooks

Dominant vs. Rams

Scott totaled nine tackles (five solo) and an interception during Carolina's win over the Rams on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Scott played every defensive snap for the Panthers and recorded the second-most tackles on the team behind Lathan Ransom's 11 (two solo). Scott also snagged his first interception of the season, picking off Matthew Stafford in the end zone during the first half. The 30-year-old will look to build on this strong performance once the team returns from its upcoming bye week.

The Panthers prioritized strengthening their safety room this offseason by adding both Jordan Fuller and Scott on one-year deals. Scott, who appeared in all 17 games for the Bengals last season, logged 57 tackles while playing 52 percent of the team's defensive snaps. The 29-year-old projects to be Carolina's top rotational safety in 2024 behind both Fuller and Xavier Woods.
Scott signed a three-year, $12 million deal with the Bengals after spending his first four seasons with the Rams. He's coming off of his best season, racking up 86 tackles, two forced fumbles and two interceptions. With Jessie Bates (Atlanta) and Vonn Bell (Carolina) moving on, Scott will be thrown into a starting role alongside second-year player Dax Hill and rookie Jordan Battle.
Third on the Rams in defensive snaps at safety in 2021, Scott managed to pluck the first two interceptions of his career in his third year in the pros, while tallying a career-high 47 tackles. Going into the final year of his rookie contract, Scott will look to continue improving behind the dynamic duo of Jordan Fuller and Taylor Rapp, but unless one of those two suffers an injury, Scott holds minimal fantasy value.
