2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lloyd entered the NFL with some promise as a third-round pick in 2024, but multiple lower-body injuries and a case of appendicitis limited him to just one regular-season appearance and six carries. He now has a chance to compete with Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks for the No. 2 RB job behind Josh Jacobs, after the Packers declined to add any draft picks or veteran free agents at the position this offseason. With 4.46 speed at 5-foot-9, 220 pounds, Lloyd has the raw athletic traits to be a starting running back in the NFL, but it's less clear if he has the skills to match. He fumbled 10 times on 325 touches in college, and he never caught more than 18 passes in a season. Lloyd's performance this summer will be crucial for determining his NFL future. Read Past Outlooks

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Not many running backs are as toolsy as Lloyd, who ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash at a conspicuously muscular 5-9, 220. He was a worthwhile developmental pick in the third round for a Packers team with few glaring needs and a new lead back in Josh Jacobs. Lloyd has potential to be a big-play threat both as a runner and receiver, and with either power or speed. There are at least two obstacles for now, however. The first is that Jacobs was paid handsomely and has an established track record handling huge workloads. The second is that Lloyd was one of the worst fumblers in recent college football history, coughing it up 10 times on 325 career touches. The ball-security issues might also explain why he never got more than 116 carries in a season, even last year at USC when he averaged 7.1 YPC and took 13 catches for 232 yards. The Packers can afford to be patient with Lloyd, perhaps even starting him off as the No. 3 back behind both Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could miss Week 1
RBGreen Bay Packers
August 18, 2025
Lloyd suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday's preseason game against the Colts, putting his status for the Packers' regular-season opener in question, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
A third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Lloyd played in only one game as a rookie due to multiple health issues, including appendicitis, and his poor injury luck hasn't improved in 2025. The hamstring strain came on a 44-yard reception in the second quarter Saturday, as he briefly got a chance to show his potential. If Lloyd isn't recovered by Week 1, Emanuel Wilson would be the top backup to Josh Jacobs in the Green Bay backfield.
