Two TDs not enough in playoff loss
Goedert caught four of seven targets for 33 yards and a touchdown while rushing once for a one-yard touchdown in Sunday's 23-19 wild-card game loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Goedert scored both of Philadelphia's touchdowns in the playoff loss, running in a one-yard score in the first quarter before catching a nine-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. He built on a successful regular season during which Goedert led the team with a career-high 11 touchdown catches among his 60 receptions for 591 yards on 82 targets. That strong production will make the 31-year-old tight end a sought-after target in free agency this offseason.

Goedert set a career high with 59 catches last year and was four targets short of his previous best, despite missing three games with a fractured forearm. It didn't amount to much for fantasy purposes, as he averaged a career-low 10.0 yards per catch while seeing his aDOT (5.3) drop for a second straight year and his YAC average (5.3) go down by 1.9 yards compared to the previous season. A lack of big plays left Goedert with his fewest total yards (592) since 2020 and his worst per-game average (42.3) since 2019. The 6-foot-5 tight end scored exactly three touchdowns for a third time in the past four seasons, while QB Jalen Hurts had double-digit rushing TDs for the third consecutive season and threw 14 of his 23 passing scores to A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith. It's certainly possible Goedert's efficiency rebounds this year, but he may also drop down another notch on Philadelphia's volume totem pole with dual-threat RB Saquon Barkley joining the offense.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to hit free agency
Goedert and the Eagles are still negotiating, but he is likely to become a free agent when the new league year begins, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The Eagles have interest in re-signing Goedert, who has spent his entire career with the team. However, Philadelphia's offseason budget remains unsettled due to the A.J. Brown situation, and the team has other pending free agents who may be higher priorities. That could prevent the team from making a competitive offer to Goedert, who is expected to draw significant interest.
