2025 Fantasy Outlook
After topping 100 receiving yards in each of his first two professional seasons, Heyward's role diminished in 2024. He caught six of eight targets for 40 yards and a touchdown as Pat Freiermuth stayed healthy and Darnell Washington appeared to supplant Heyward on the depth chart. The Steelers traded for Jonnu Smith in June, further complicating the situation for Heyward and making him a non-factor in fantasy unless the depth chart is blown up by injuries. Read Past Outlooks

Heyward secured three of four targets for 21 yards and a touchdown while logging 15 carries for 43 yards and two scores over 17 appearances during the 2025 regular season.

Although starting tight end Pat Freiermuth missed five games in 2023, Heyward was unable to generate much production during his second professional season. He appeared in all 17 games once again and secured 23 of 34 targets for 167 yards. Freiermuth and Darnell Washington remain in the fold for 2024, so Heyward will likely have trouble garnering a fantasy-relevant role.
