Gets trespassing charge dismissed
Addison is no longer facing a misdemeanor trespassing charge stemming from his Jan. 12 arrest in Tampa after a Florida state attorney filed a termination of prosecution Tuesday, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With the charge being dropped, Addison is unlikely to face any discipline from the NFL. The wideout has now had three brushes with the law since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2023, as he previously plead guilty to a July 2023 misdemeanor speeding charge and was also arrested on a DUI charge in 2024. When available, Addison has performed well in a complementary role behind Justin Jefferson, but his off-field issues could play a part in whether Minnesota decides to exercise the fifth-year option on his rookie contract this spring. If exercised, the team option would guarantee Addison around $17.5 million for the 2027 season, per OverTheCap.com.

2023
Addison's second pro season in 2024 ultimately looked a lot like his rookie campaign, featuring a high rate of big plays and touchdowns on about 6.5 targets per game. He looks very much worthy of the 23rd overall pick Minnesota spent on him, having instantly become an above-average No. 2 receiver despite being one of the younger players from his draft class (he turned 23 in January). The switch from Kirk Cousins to Sam Darnold didn't seem to bother Addison, who might've had his first 1,000-yard season if not for an ankle sprain that cost him two full games and parts of two others early in the year. His disappointing pre-draft 40 time (4.49) hasn't translated to a lack of explosiveness in the NFL, and while he's about as physical as one might expect of a thin wideout (5-11, 175), Addison has consistently performed well in an offense that has WR Justin Jefferson and TE T.J. Hockenson handling the types of routes and targets that require more physicality. The major concerns for Addison in 2025 are a three-game suspension -- to be served Weeks 1-3 -- and uncertainty about 22-year-old quarterback J.J. McCarthy. Addison's strong numbers in the second half of last season suggest he should be a viable fantasy starter from Week 4 onward, but that also depends on McCarthy keeping Kevin O'Connell's impressive offense rolling.

Making 2025 debut in Ireland
Addison is set to make his 2025 regular-season debut against the Steelers on Sunday in Dublin, Ireland, Brooke Pryor of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The NFL suspended Addison for the first three games of the regular season due to violating the league's Substances of Abuse Policy. The 2023 first-rounder's suspension has been lifted, and his return will help open up the Vikings' offense and open things up for Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson in the passing game. Addison is coming off a strong sophomore campaign in which he logged 63 catches on 99 targets for 875 yards and nine touchdowns across 15 regular-season games.
