This article is part of our College Basketball Picks series.
The 2025-26 NCAA Men's College Basketball season is into the final full weekend of January. We're going to be very careful picking games on Saturday, as winter weather is the southern Plains, Midwest, southeast and Mid-Atlantic is wreaking havoc with travel. And, some games are either having tip times moved, and there is a possibility games could be postponed. It's a good idea to focus more on games out west to avoid weather headaches.
Games that could potentially be in danger of being postponed are the following:
- Ole Miss-Kentucky 11 a.m. EST
- Vanderbilt-Mississippi State noon EST
- Georgia-Texas 1 p.m. EST
- Illinois State-Belmont 1 p.m. EST
- South Carolina-Texas A&M - 1 p.m. EST
- Houston-Texas Tech - 2 p.m. EST
- North Dakota State-Oral Roberts 2 p.m. EST
- Oklahoma-Missouri - 2 p.m. EST
- Virginia Tech-Louisville - 2:15 p.m. EST
- Iowa State-Oklahoma State - 3 p.m. EST
- Memphis-Wichita State - 4 p.m. EST
- Florida State-SMU - 4 p.m. EST
- LSU-Arkansas - 5 p.m. EST
- Tennessee-Alabama - 8:30 p.m. EST
Let's navigate the tricky schedule, and try and pile up some freezing cold, hard cash into our pockets this weekend.
College Basketball PrizePicks Picks & Strategy
If you're unfamiliar with how to play, you must simply choose at least two players from any sport and pick more or less based on their projected statistics to win. We'll obviously be exclusively selecting college hoops players, but you can mix and match from various other sports. You can also go with a flex play, meaning you still can have a winning night even if you have one losing selection. Or, you can go big and choose the power play, which pays out higher. However, you must hit all ends to win. Let's get started.

Keyshawn Hall, F, Auburn
One place we needn't worry about snow or ice potentially delaying or postponing our game is Gainesville, Florida, as the Auburn Tigers invade the O'Connell Center.
Hall posted 19 points with six rebounds and two assists across 35 minutes at Ole Miss last time out, but he still hit just 4-of-10 from the field, doing most of his damage from the charity stripe. He is shooting 40.0 percent or worse in each of the past three outings, averaging just 12.3 points (PPG), 6.3 rebounds (RPG) and 3.0 assists (APG) per game. He has just two total dimes in the past two outings, too, while going 0-for-8 from behind the three-point line.
Hall will face the defending champion Florida Gators, a team which is allowing just 72.1 PPG with a 41.6 percent defensive field-goal percentage (69th in the nation). The Gators are suspect defending the three, but Hall has struggled with this shot against lesser teams. Let's go low on Hall's PRA projections.
CBB PrizePicks Selection: Keyshawn Hall, Less 27.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
Leland Walker, G, Wyoming
Walker and the Cowboys host San Jose State in a Mountain West Conference battle at 4 p.m. EST in Laramie. You'd expect Wyoming to have winter weather, and it will be brutally cold in Laramie, with temperatures in the teens at tip time, but no precipitation to delay the fans getting to the game.
Walker lit up Boise State for a season-high 30 points on Tuesday night, hitting 10-of-17 from the field, including 2-of-4 from behind the arc, while going a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line.
San Jose State is terrible defensively, allowing 76.2 PPG (200th), with a dismal 48.7 percent (354th) in field-goal percentage, and 37.1 percent (347th) from behind the three-point line. Walker is a good bet to stay hot.
CBB PrizePicks Selection: Leland Walker, More 17.5 Points

Nick Martinelli, F, Northwestern
There are no weather concerns in Los Angeles, either, as Northwestern pays a visit to UCLA, looking for sweep of the Southern California Big Ten members. The Wildcats picked up their first victory in conference play with a 74-68 victory at USC on Wednesday night. Martinelli has 22 in the victory over the Trojans.
Win or lose, Martinelli is one of the more consistent scorers in the Big Ten, and the nation. He has scored 20+ points in 10 straight outings, and he has 28 or more points in six of his past 12 contests, too.
UCLA poses a serious challenge for Martinelli and the Wildcats, as Mick Cronin's defense allows just 69.4 PPG (56th), while teams are hitting just 29.6 percent (31st) from behind the three-point line. However, the Bruins are so-so inside the paint, so Martinelli should be able to sustain the pressure just fine.
CBB PrizePicks Selection: Nick Martinelli, More 22.5 Points
