The Raptors were rocked by injuries in the 2024-25 season, allowing Agbaji to produce a career-best year in Toronto. The wing made 64 regular-season appearances, posting averages of 10.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.6 three-pointers in 27.2 minutes per game. On a per-game basis in standard nine-category leagues, Agbaji just missed out on a top-150 finish. Minutes and touches won't come as easily in 2025-26, however. Brandon Ingram (ankle) is expected to be ready to make his Toronto debut on Opening Night, pushing Agbaji to a reserve role. The Raptors also have a plethora of wings in RJ Barrett, Gradey Dick and Ja'Kobe Walter. Barrett is rumored to be on the trade block, but at least in the early going, Agbaji will struggle to see enough minutes to make an impact in standard leagues. His strong play in 2024-25 likely earned him a spot in the rotation, though. Read Past Outlooks

Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
Agbaji was born on April 20, 2000, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After he was born, his family moved to Kansas City, where he grew up playing club soccer and AAU ball. Between his freshman and junior years, Agbaji grew nine inches and began to focus on basketball full-time. He didn't receive any attention from major D1 programs until his senior season, where he averaged 27.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game for Oak Park and was named Kansas City Star All-Metro player of the year. Agbaji was considered a three-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals. On Feb. 8, 2018, he committed to play college basketball for Kansas over offers from Texas A&M and Wisconsin. Agbaji started his freshman season as a redshirt but was quickly inserted into the lineup after Udoka Azubuike suffered a season-ending injury. On Jan. 29, Agbaji made his first career start, scoring 24 points, bringing in seven rebounds, and stealing the ball twice in a loss to Texas. From that point on, he would never come off the bench again, and he is now considered one of the most decorated players in KU history. During his senior season at Kansas, he averaged 18.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. Agbaji was voted the Big 12 Player of the Year and was named a consensus first-team All-American. Kansas won the 2022 NCAA Tournament, and Agbaji scored 12 points in the championship game to finish off his stellar college career. On April 24, Agbaji declared for the 2022 NBA draft, where he was called by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 14th pick in the first round.
ANALYSIS Agbaji is no longer appearing on the injury report after missing the past two games for Toronto. Over his last six appearances, the forward has been a fringe rotation player, averaging 12.4 minutes per contest.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
A first-round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Agbaji was able to close last season with a bang. Over the final month, he moved into a sizeable role for the Jazz, who had shifted into tank mode. Over the final 15 games, he averaged 14.7 points, adding 2.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 2.3 three-pointers. While this still had him ranked outside the top 200 in nine-category leagues, it was perhaps a glimpse of what he might be able to do should he land a meaningful role this season. With that in mind, there is speculation he could be in the starting lineup come opening night, putting him firmly on the fantasy radar. He is not someone managers will need to prioritize but certainly makes sense as a last-round flier, especially given the coaching staff seems intent on making him a focal point.
A member of Kansas' 2022 National Championship team as a senior, Agbaji was selected with the 14th overall pick over the summer by the Cavaliers and eventually traded to the Jazz as part of the Donovan Mitchell deal. In his final year, he was named Big 12 Player of the Year and Consensus first-team All-American behind 18.8 points on 48/41/74 shooting, 5.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.5 combined steals-plus-blocks in 35.0 minutes. He took nearly half his shots from behind the arc and improved his percentage every season, but his spotty free-throw shooting is a bit of a concern. Even if his shooting may come and go, he projects as a solid defender, which should keep him on the court, especially on a rebuilding Utah team. He's 6-foot-5, but at 217 pounds, he has the potential to check some bigger forwards at the NBA level. It seems unlikely he'll be fantasy relevant as a rookie, but the Jazz will prioritize development, so he'll have opportunities.
