Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Leonard Miller spent 2022-23 with the G league Ignite, choosing the Ignite over Kentucky, Gonzaga and others. Miller averaged 18.0 points and 11.0 rebounds across 24 games with the Ignite, playing alongside top guard prospect Scoot Henderson. Miller quickly rose through the ranks as a high schooler at Fort Erie International Academy in Ontario, hitting a growth spurt and ascending from approximately 6-foot-5 to 6-foot-10. His older brother and fellow 2023 draft prospect, Emmanuel, plays for TCU. Miller's blend of speed and size is impressive. He loves shooting, but his most translatable strength is getting to the rim or being a threat around the basket. He compiled 17 double-doubles in the G League while showcasing ambidexterity. Miller shot 29.7 percent from beyond the arc this season while logging possessions as a primary ballhandler and perimeter threat. Miller has a malleable game. He flashes skills as a developing shooter, rim protector, physical mismatch, tempo pusher, and occasional playmaker. Even if only a few of those skills reach NBA-starter level, he has the upside of a top-20 pick. He isn't expected to be tasked with a prominent role as a rookie.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
After averaging 18.0 points and 11.0 rebounds across 24 games for the Ignite, Miller was taken with the 33rd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. One of the more raw prospects to come out of this class, Miller has the ability to play multiple positions. He is a serviceable threat from the perimeter but it is at the rim where he is likely to do most of his damage. Unfortunately, the Timberwolves are basically locked and loaded when it comes to their active roster, with Miller likely to serve as a depth piece only. While there is a chance he ends up being a value pick in the draft, he still has a long way to go before making it as a viable NBA asset. Given he is unlikely to be an every-night part of the rotation, he holds very little value outside of dynasty formats.

Will play for Canada in AmeriCup
FMinnesota Timberwolves
August 12, 2025
Miller will represent Team Canada in the upcoming 2025 AmeriCup in Nicaragua, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca.
ANALYSIS This will be a big chance for Miller to handle a prominent role for Canada, as he hasn't had that chance during his first two years in the NBA. The 6-foot-10 forward, who was a second-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, has appeared in a combined 30 regular-season games off the bench for the Timberwolves over the past two seasons.
