Ariel Atkins

Atkins missed just three total games over the the four seasons leading up to the 2023 campaign, but she missed 11 games with a left ankle sprain last year before also missing two matchups with a nose injury. The 27-year-old had somewhat inconsistent results when on the court and turned in her worst statistical performance since 2019, her second professional season. Over 27 appearances last year, Atkins averaged 11.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals in 25.1 minutes per game. However, she averaged over 30 minutes per game in the prior three seasons, so it wouldn't be surprising to see her playing time bounce back if she can remain healthy in 2024. Atkins' role could also grow since Elena Delle Donne is stepping away from basketball and Natasha Cloud is now in Phoenix. The Mystics have other solid contributors in Brittney Sykes and Shakira Austin, but Atkins would have an opportunity to take on more of a leading role without Delle Donne and Cloud in the mix. Atkins is an intriguing fantasy option, especially if she can have a bounce-back season.
