Best WNBA Bets Today: Friday, September 5

Kelsey Plum Over 5.5 Assists (+110) at Atlanta Dream

FanDuel Sportsbook, 3:00 p.m. CT

Kirien Sprecher: Plum has dished out seven assists in three straight outings, including in Atlanta on Wednesday. She's recorded at least five assists in 28 of her 39 appearances this season, averaging a career-high 5.9 dimes per game during her first season with the Sparks.

Kelsey Mitchell Over 19.5 Points (-125) vs. Chicago Sky

DraftKings Sportsbook, 3:45 p.m. CT

Jason Shebilske: Mitchell has recorded at least 20 points in five of her last seven appearances, and she's also hit the over on this mark in each of her last two outings against Chicago. The Sky have allowed the most points in the league to opposing guards this season, so I'm expecting Mitchell's success to continue Friday as the Fever attempt to solidify their positioning for a spot in the playoffs. Caitlin Clark (groin/ankle) has officially been ruled out for the remainder of the season, and Angel Reese (suspension) will be unavailable Friday, so Mitchell has a favorable opportunity to perform well.
