Kane returned to the scoresheet in the Champions League after failing to score in his previous three matches in the competition. He could have added his first hat trick in the tournament and his fourth of the season but missed one of the two penalties he took. Despite that, he has been in strong form, with the goal marking his tenth in his last 10 matches in all competitions, during which he has attempted at least two shots in every appearance and failed to score only twice.
