Medina was loaned from San Jose Earthquakes to Chivas for the 2026 season, with a purchase option included, his parent club announced.

Medina has featured for the Earthquakes' MLS NEXT Pro side over the past four seasons, recording 19 goal contributions in 68 appearances and earning 2025 Best XI honors, while also making his first team debut at age 15 in a friendly against RC Celta de Vigo.
