Aymeric Laporte Injury: Not ready yet

Laporte (hamstring) won't be available for Saturday's game against Sevilla, manager Ernesto Valverde told media Friday. "We have to give Aymeric more breathing room to recover, he might return next week."

Laporte has missed Athletic's last six games while dealing with a hamstring injury, and this game will come too soon for him. The central defender, who's a regular starter when healthy, will aim to be available for the Jan. 28 match against Sporting CP, or the Feb. 1 game against Real Sociedad.
