FPL Gameweek 16 Differentials: Low-Owned Players to Consider

Gameweek 15 was a difficult one for FPL managers, with several highly owned players blanking while a number of overlooked assets delivered strong returns. Whether you are trying to gain ground in your mini-league or protect an early lead, targeting the right low-owned differentials in Gameweek 16 can offer a meaningful edge.

In this article, I highlight the best FPL differentials for Gameweek 16, players under five-percent ownership who have favourable fixtures, strong underlying numbers or expanding roles.

Best FPL Differentials for Gameweek 16

Michael Kayode - 0.5% (Brentford)

Michael Kayode is owned by just 0.5% of FPL managers but has become a key starter for Brentford after joining following a successful loan spell. His long throws create chances, and his involvement in buildup play continues to improve.

With fixtures against Leeds and Wolves, two sides struggling to create goals, Brentford will view this as a window to secure clean sheets, making Kayode an appealing budget defensive differential.

Joachim Andersen - 4.4% (Fulham)

Joachim Andersen has found himself in this differentials article on a few occasions this season due to his impressive defensive contribution numbers.

The Danish international has hit the defensive contribution threshold nine times in 14 games this season.

Fulham also have a lovely set of upcoming fixtures with Burnley, Nottingham Forest and West Ham in the next three Gameweeks, so I would expect a clean sheet or two from Andersen and the Cottagers.

Dango Ouattara - 1.4% (Brentford)

After impressive cameos for Bournemouth last season, Dango Ouattara made the move to Brentford in the summer, following Bryan Mbeumo's departure.

He hasn't quite filled the hole left by Mbeumo and his 20 goals, but he's starting to have an impact in West London, having started eight straight league matches.

The Burkinabé winger has scored two goals and provided four assists in his last seven games, and I'd expect him to continue this form with Leeds and Wolves up next.

Harry Wilson - 2.9% (Fulham)

Harry Wilson enters Gameweek 16 in excellent form, producing two goals and two assists across meetings with Spurs, Manchester City and Crystal Palace.

Now Fulham hit their softest fixture run of the season, and Wilson looks like one of the strongest differentials available at just £5.3m. His set-piece threat and consistency make him a high-upside midfield option.

Maybe more notably, he's started the last six matches despite dealing with a minor hamstring issue a couple weeks ago.

Raul Jimenez - 1.6% (Fulham)

With Rodrigo Muniz still sidelined, Raul Jimenez is expected to continue leading the Fulham line, going 90 minutes in three of the last four matches.

Despite scoring only twice this season, Fulham's attacking numbers have improved significantly, and their upcoming fixtures (Burnley, Nottingham Forest, West Ham) make Jimenez a compelling low-owned forward play.

At just 1.6% ownership, he offers a meaningful differential edge.

Igor Jesus - 1.1% (Nottingham Forest)

Another beneficiary of an injury is Igor Jesus. The Brazilian has started the last six Premier League games in Chris Wood's absence, and with Wood still sidelined, that's not expected to change soon.

Jesus has managed one goal and one assist in this time, as Nottingham Forest's form has slightly improved.

They've won three of their last five games and face Spurs at home in Gameweek 16. Spurs have been unreliable week to week and Forest figure to get meaningful opportunities in front of net.

At just £5.8m and in only 1.1% of teams, Jesus could be a great differential for the coming gameweek.
