Top contender fight at White House
FeatherweightUFC
March 8, 2026
Garcia will take on Diego Lopes in a featherweight matchup at the UFC White House card on June 14.
ANALYSIS
The duo will open up the five-fight card set to be held on the White House front lawn. Garcia is certainly deserving of the opportunity, having won seven straight fights, including six by KO/TKO in a run that includes four post-fight bonuses. He now gets a stiffer test in Lopes, a fighter who has lost two of three, but both were title shots to current champion Alexander Volkanovski that were given FOTN honors. Garcia will enter with advantages in height, reach, volume striking and defensive striking, but he still opens as a slight betting underdog.

Winning streak hits seven
FeatherweightUFC
November 1, 2025
Garcia defeated David Onama via TKO (punches) at 3:34 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It goes without saying at this point, but Garcia must hit ridiculously hard. He's essentially an aggressive one-dimensional boxer who has shown zero ability to generate secondary offense, but for the last three and a half years now, not one opponent has been able to handle the heat thrown their way. Garcia started quickly in this one, overwhelming opponent with pressure and power. He landed 33 significant strikes in all, although the last dozen were entirely unnecessary, as Onama was clearly finished. Garcia, now 33 years old, has won seven straight dating back to October 2022 and is closing in on title-implicating fights at 145 pounds. To top it off, he was also awarded a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts here.
Will fight Onama
FeatherweightUFC
September 19, 2025
Garcia will face off against David Onama at UFC Vegas 110 on Nov. 1, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be the headline fight of the event after it was previously reported that Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. Ante Delija would be. Garcia defeated Calvin Kattar via unanimous decision back in July for what was his sixth straight win. However, his opponent in Onama has plenty of momentum of his own with four straight wins.
Secures sixth straight win
FeatherweightUFC
July 12, 2025
Garcia defeated Calvin Kattar via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Nashville.
ANALYSIS
Entering with five straight knockout wins on his resume, Garcia was equally impressive in this fight despite having to see the final bell for the first time since February 2020. Knowing full well that the aging Kattar had nothing for him, Garcia kept things simple and didn't take any big risks. He was strongly aided by the fact Kattar refused to throw much of anything. All told, Garcia closed with a 85-26 edge in significant strikes landed in what was a clear sweep on the judges' scorecards. Sadly, a win over Kattar means little halfway through 2025, but Garcia continues to keep the positive momentum as he attempts to keep climbing the rankings at 145 pounds.
Will take on Kattar
FeatherweightUFC
May 6, 2025
Garcia will face Calvin Kattar in a featherweight bout for the UFC event scheduled for July 12, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Garcia has won his last five UFC bouts and should be able to extend his streak to six. Kattar has been struggling massively of late and hasn't won a fight in more than three years. Garcia's most recent win came against Kyle Nelson via TKO (strikes) on Sep. 7, 2024.
Out of UFC Seattle
FeatherweightUFC
February 15, 2025
Garcia (undisclosed) will no longer fight Edson Barboza in a featherweight bout at UFC Seattle on Feb. 22, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Garcia's fight is no longer on the card after Barboza pulled out. He won't be getting a replacement, and so his fight has been pulled from the UFC Seattle lineup all together. Garcia will now look towards scheduling his next bout, one that could potentially push his winning streak in the promotion to six straight fights.
