Struggles continue in San Antonio
BantamweightOther
September 13, 2025
Le lost to Santiago Luna via KO (punches) at 2:48 of Round 1 at UFC Noche on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
This was a tale of two fights, which is amazing considering the entire thing lasted under three minutes. Le started very quickly, landing a few huge shots and putting his 21-year-old debuting opponent in immediate trouble. Yet, Luna found the range eventually, and he dropped and finished Le following a sweeping left hook. Never one to turn down a fight, Le has fought four times in the past 15 months, going 1-3 during that span. He'll have to hope that activity level will be enough to save his roster spot.

Le is now in search of an opponent for Noche UFC on Sept. 13 in San Antonio, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Le was originally a replacement for Carlos Vera in a scheduled bout against David Martinez, but now Martinez has been chosen for a matchup against Rob Font instead. That leaves Le, who is 1-2 in the UFC, without an opponent just two weeks before the scheduled event.
Finally earns first UFC win

Le defeated Gaston Bolanos via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:54 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.
ANALYSIS
A loser in each of his first two UFC fights and almost certainly looking at a release with a loss, Le managed to put forth a dominant effort that would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. By no means known as a dominant grappler, Quang somehow landed four takedowns and 5:46 worth of control time in a fight which lasted a shade under seven minutes. The rear-naked choke which ended the fight wasn't exactly expertly applied, but they all count the same. Little should be expected of Le moving forward, but he's going to get another fight with the company after this effort.

ANALYSIS

Still searching for first UFC win

Le lost to Long Xiao via KO (punch) at 1:28 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Macau, China.
ANALYSIS
Le made his late-notice UFC debut in August in a very tough spot against Chris Gutierrez and showed pretty well in seeing the final bell in a unanimous decision defeat. He wasn't able to replicate that success here. Long consistently won the striking exchanges between the two throughout the bout before closing the show with a brutal right hand. Le appeared to be out before he hit the mat. With just 10 professional fights under his belt at age 33 and a loser in each of his first two bouts with the UFC, there's no guarantee Le gets a third opportunity.
