Another instant victory
Torres defeated Drew Dober via TKO (punches) at 1:45 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Torres racked up a ton of stoppage wins on the regional scene prior to his UFC arrival, but we see that all the time, and it rarely carries over to the highest level. Except in this case. The 30-year-old was at it again here, dropping Dober with a right hand before finishing him off with countless unanswered blows to the side of the head. The finish would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, one of four awarded on the evening. Torres is now 4-1 in the UFC, with all five fights ending via first-round stoppage. In fact, each of Manuel's last dozen bouts dating back to August 2018 have ended in Round 1. As a result, his cardio remains an open question.

To face Dober in Mexico
Torres will take on Drew Dober in a lightweight matchup at UFC Mexico on March 29, CC Legaspi of ESPN Deportes reports.
ANALYSIS
Torres was off to a torrid start to his UFC run, winning three consecutive fights in the first round and earning a post-fight bonus in each. That came crashing to a halt with a September loss to Ignacio Bahamondes, but Torres now gets a chance to bounce back against a well-known UFC veteran in his native Mexico. Torres has the statistical edge over Dober in terms of striking volume, but he may look to employ his wrestling here, as Dober defends takedowns at a below-average 56 percent clip.

Winning streak snapped at four
Torres lost to Ignacio Bahamondes via TKO (punches) at 4:02 of Round 1 at UFC 306 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Torres' string of four straight first-round stoppage wins came to an end in emphatic fashion. A brawler who knows no other way to fight, Manuel found himself in the Octagon with a taller, longer and more accurate opponent. Torres was knocked down early and probably should have been finished, but referee Marc Goddard allowed him to work through it. He made his way back to his feet, only to get dropped by Bahamondes once again. This time, Torres wasn't able to survive. Manuel has legitimate power, but you are going to have these type of performances when you find yourself in an all-out brawl each and every time you step in the Octagon.

Set to face Bahamondes
Torres will take on Ignacio Bahamondes in a lightweight bout at UFC 306 in Las Vegas on Sept. 14, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Torres will look to stay perfect in the UFC. The Mexican fighter is 3-0-0 in the promotion and most recently defeated Chris Duncan with a Rear Naked Choke in the first found of a fight in February. His opponent Bahamondes, meanwhile, is three years younger but more experienced in the UFC with six fights under his belt. Bahamondes is also coming off a victory, defeating Christos Giagos in April.
